The CAD operator shall be working directly under the Design Engineer and support in the production of conceptual plans, construction and as built plans.
The CAD operator shall be working on plans involving electrical diagrams, wiring layout, architectural plans, civil and structural plans, and other drawings that the project requires.
The CAD operator shall be assisting the Design Engineer in ocular inspection as occasional visits to the project site may be necessary to take actual measurements for the preparation detailed shop drawings.
The CAD operator shall also assist in preparation of documents, catalogues and other pertinent references that are required in the performance of the Design and Engineering functions.
Liaise with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials.
Describe production method step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow.
Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
Create manuals that describe existing products operation, features and maintenance.

Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree , Architecture, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
Required skill(s): verbal and communication skills, Attention to detail, AutoCad.
Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other CAD Software
Adept in use of computer applications particularly MS Office such as MS Excel and MS word
Very high Attention to detail
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
